Welcome to Our Church
We pray as you visit our church via the web or in person, you would know how great the love of God is towards you.
New Beginnings UMC believes in radical hospitality–Jesus shared meals with the Pharisees as well as those whom the Pharisees rejected and condemned. Jesus longed to share the Passover meal with his disciples which included the one who would betray him, the one who would deny him, the ones who would flee, the one who would remain faithful. We believe ALL are welcome to join us in worship, to lead us in service, to use their gifts for the glory of God and encouragement of Christ’s body.
We believe in extravagant generosity. Throughout Scripture, God’s grace and love are described as deep, wide, never ending, abundant so we believe in being extravagant in our giving of our time, talents, resources to the work of God’s Kingdom.
We believe in intentional faith development. Acts 2 tells us that the people of God met daily to break bread and be taught by the apostles and the church grew so we dedicate ourselves to intentional times of personal and corporate prayer, Bible Study, and fellowship to grow in our faith.
We believe in passionate worship. New Beginnings seeks to honor God in all we do. Worship is not simply a Sunday morning event but a daily reality. Sunday mornings we seek to give voice to God’s activity among us as we all raise our voices in joyful hymns and meditation on God’s word.
We believe in risk taking mission. John Wesley reminds us that Christ’s followers are called not just to personal holiness but to social holiness. We seek to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the shut ins, and reach out in love to our neighbors.Leanne Zeck
